Collective Web Making: We are building a web-space for the digital maker collective, it will be a community run website for everything open we want to share together, site will also be fully open to anyone to view & join.

If you are interested in getting involved or just following along the development of this new 'Digital Maker Collective' site and/or joining in on the build please create an account on this site (will not be an admin account at this stage, just a user account).

The site is using Drupal & so please familerlise yourself with this content management system, the more you know the more you'll be able to join in the development. There are loads of ‘Drupal 7 for Beginners’ - Getting Started online tutorials online - (let us know if you find something good) We recommend you follow the tutorials on Lynda.com (these are free to access these with your UAL account).

We’ll not follow any specific tutorials, we’ll be making our own workflow – the Lynda tutorials we provide a basic intro to advanced – you will start by setting up a local version of Drupal on your desktop, so you can try things out. Acquia Dev Desktop allows you to install, test, and build Drupal sites locally on your Mac or Windows PC.
